You have already read in our blog that a third edition of the Dutch booklet 'APA richtlijnen uitgelegd' has been published. This 3rd edition is based on APA7.
Starting with the academic year 2021/2022, APA7 will be applied in higher education.
Changes APA6 and APA7
There are about 20 revised and new APA guidelines (APA7) regarding source citation.
See this pdf-document for an overview of the 10 most vital differences between APA6 and APA7.
Project APA7, a partnership between 9 information specialists, has developed 7 instruction videos on the APA Guidelines. The videos can be found in our Information Literacy LibGuide. You can also find these clips on YouTube.
What will happen to APA6?
Many students who once started with APA6 will continue to use it. In Moodle source lists and APA related information will gradually be adapted. In the various LibGuides there is still work to be done, this job is now being taken up by the library team.
