FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

What is a LibGuide?

LibGuides are online library guides, created by the information professionals of Zuyd Library, to "guide" Zuyd students and staff through the resources and services of Zuyd Library.

A LibGuide offers customized information and focuses on a particular course or topic.
They will also be used to explain a database (eg PubMed), a research tool (eg Endnote) and to support the information skills of students and teachers.

How to print / copy / scan?

To print, scan, or copy, you use a multifunctional printer (MPF) with your staff or student card. Guests and visitors can use a guest card. In or near every library location you will find one or more Ricoh multifunctional printers.

One-time registration

The first time you use your card to print, scan, or copy you must link it to the network. You do this as follows:

  • Swipe your card over the card reader of a multifunctional of your choice.
  • The screen displays the message 'card unknown.'
  • Enter your Zuyd username in the user ID field.
  • Enter your Zuyd password in the password field.

Refer to the instructions for one-time registration if necessary (pdf; in Dutch).
If you're a student, you will first need to top up your print credit via print.zuyd.nl.

Print job
Issue a print job and sign in at the multifunctional you want to use. You do this with your own staff or student card. Don't have it with you? Then you can identify yourself with your login details. You cannot print your print job using a colleague's or fellow student's card, because printouts are linked to your login details. Log out again after printing.

Can I print from my phone, tablet or laptop?
Yes you can. See the instructions for printing from a mobile device or home (pdf; in Dutch).
