Hospitality & Tourism Complete: Using search results & APA

Database Guide

Using search results

  • If you have found useful results, you naturally want to make use of them. You can save search results.
  • Not every source is full-text; sometimes you may need to locate or request the source elsewhere.
  • Additionally, you'll want to reference the source correctly according to APA style when using it in your professional product.

Here are some tips on this page.

Read or view an article

Article 1 is not available in full-text in the Hospitality Database:

  • Through the full-text finder, you will be redirected to a possible alternative database or an e-journal subscribed by Zuyd. Click on the provided link (See images below).
  • In some cases, you will immediately find the article, while in others, you may need to click on another link. At times, you may have to search for the article (by title) again on that page using the search bar (See image below).
  • In a few cases, Zuyd does not have access. You can fill out the request form via the link. The article will then be requested for you through interlibrary loan (IBL).

Article 2 is available in full-text in PDF.

Save, email or print search results

Create an account using the 'Sign In" ► "Sign Up" (with your Zuyd email address).

► Once you are logged in, your search queries will be saved.
► When logged in, you can save article references in a folder. This is useful if you want to review them later to see if they are relevant to you.

► Click on the folder icon next to a article reference to save it to your personal folder.

Even if you do not create an account, you can still put a selection from the search results into a folder. You can then print or email the references. This is a convenient way to collect and manage your sources.

Citation tool APA

You can either copy the (APA7) references of an article, or download and open the reference in EndNote.
Click on a title in your result and view the tools on the right side of the screen. Always check the reference against the APA guidelines.

► Choose Cite or Export.

APA-7 Style Guideline

Always make sure to verify if the APA references provided automatically in the database are correct. The website of the American Psychological Association is particularly useful:
the style and grammar guidelines pages present information about APA Style as described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition) and the Concise Guide tot APA Style (7th edition).

Prefer to use the book? Both publications are included in the library collection. Click on the cover for the location.
