Open Access is a broad international movement within the scientific community. It stands for grant free and open accessible academic information, such as research publications and data.
This is motivated by the fact that scholarly research has been paid from public funds and it is also beneficial for the visibility and impact of academic papers. You can recognize open access publications by the orange paperclip logo.
